Each turn, you can interview suspects, explore the crime scene, do forensic analysis, review the case files, whatever you like
In order to win, you must accuse the true murderer and offer enough evidence so that they confess

Example Investigation:

"Interview Eleanor about the missing watch" "Check the fountain pen for fingerprints" "Bring all suspects to the library"
